ADMINISTRATIVE RESTRUCTURING PROCESS

FOCUS AND COORDINATING TEAM

This team will coordinate the various areas of ministry in the congregation.  It will meet monthly, and see to it that the various ministries are in keeping with the Family Ministry focus of the congregation.  It is to be the primary recipient of ministry requests from the congregation, will assign ministry requests to their appropriate team, and will strive to see to it that ministry is being done efficiently and effectively.

 The team will focus on

Ø     Sharing of information and coordination of events and ministries

Ø     Filling vacancies as necessary

Ø     Setting agenda for Voters’ Meetings

Ø     Convening Special Voters’ Meetings as necessary

Ø     Resolving ministry boundaries when necessary

This team is made up of the Executive Director, 3 Assistant Executive Directors, the Chair from each Vision Team, the called staff, and an appointed Secretary. 

Ideally, each Executive and Assistant Executive would serve two years in that office, with each assistant moving up one level in leadership every two years. 

The Executive Director serves as the chairperson of the Family Ministry Focus and Coordinating Team.  Administrative duties may be shared with the Assistant Executive Directors.

 This Team will include as one of its meetings each year, one all-day planning retreat in late summer or early fall.
