ADMINISTRATIVE
RESTRUCTURING PROCESS
THE
RESOURCE ADVISORY TEAM
· TEAM MEMBERS: o
One
of the Assistant Directors of the Congregational Coordinating Team will be
designated to provide chairmanship for the Resource Advisory Team:
o
Three
Resource Coordinators in the areas of a)
Administration
b)
Property
and c)
Finance
...would be elected to serve a two-year term.
The
Resource Advisory Team would meet at least quarterly, with the
Congregational Secretary, Senior Pastor and other administrative staff
serving as ex-officio members. ·
RESOURCE
COORDINATORS: The
Resource Coordinators (with the Executive Team) provide decision-making,
coordination and communication regarding the congregation’s resources of
administration, property and finance.
They would individually be responsible for appointing Ministry
Teams to complete specific tasks in their designated ministry area.
These
Ministry Teams would include:
§
two-year
appointments to fulfill a “Standing Function” under their charge.
(e.g. ongoing maintenance of heating and cooling systems) §
Short-term
appointments to Task Forces that complete a specific task and then
disband. (e.g. have all locks
repaired, replaced and re-keyed) MINISTRY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: §
Administration
– ·
Administers
congregational directives (from the Voters) regarding operating
procedures; ·
Administer
clerical and maintenance staff support and performance reviews: ·
Review
and provide for Constitutional and Bylaw Changes ·
Maintains
a Congregational Policy Manual §
Property ·
Administer
decisions regarding the maintenance and repair of church property
(buildings and equipment) ·
Represent
the congregation in legal matters ·
Provide
for the protection of the congregation against loss or damage §
Finance ·
Administer
the budgetary process ·
Appoint
and work directly with the Congregation Treasurer regarding financial
issues ·
Liaison
with the Board of the Congregational Fund ·
Develop
plans for ongoing stewardship plans for the congregation
