JAM Needs You!!!

 

Jesus and Me Time promises to be a wonderful Christ centered approach to teaching our children and young people about Jesus.  This fall we are   using new materials from Concordia Publishing called “Growing in Christ.”  The materials along with a restructuring of our Sunday School time is one way to help families engage in meaningful  discussions with their children as to how Christ  impacts our everyday lives.

 So, what’s missing???

 First of all, we need to have our children sign up for JAM Time.  We have included a participation form with this mailing, and we want to add all of our children’s names to our JAM Time wall in church.

Second of all, we need to get the word out that JAM time is not only for our children but also for the parents.  The “Growing in Christ” Adult Bible Study coincides directly with what is being taught to the children. This wonderful parent component can be the foundation for a weekly family focus at home.

Finally, curriculum and scheduling are huge pieces in a successful Sunday School program.  However, the teachers and volunteers implementing the curriculum and scheduling truly make things happen.  Realizing that it is difficult to commit to teaching Sunday School every week, we have structured the program, so that individuals can  assist either once a month, twice a month, or three or four times a month.  Below is a list of positions we need to fill.
